Green Entrepreneurship Symposium II

The Green Entrepreneurship Symposium II is a joint initiative by AIESEC Singapore and the Nanyang Technopreneurship Centre (Nanyang Technological University).

The Green Entrepreneurship Symposium aims to act as a platform for the sharing of resources in term of knowledge, experience and innovation, between corporate, entrepreneurs and youth from local universities.  We hope that this exchange will spur innovative ideas on methods to tackle environmental issues as well as empower qualities of leadership and entrepreneurship in youth through interaction with academia, entrepreneurs and environmentally conscious corporate.

The event will culminate with a networking session and exhibition over tea, which aims to raise awareness among students regarding green products, successful green case practices and the growing sustainable economy

THEME: “The Rise of Green Entrepreneurship- Is green the new black?”

In 2011, a changing social and economic order largely emphasizes on the need for innovation and the creation of business models built around the principles of sustainability.  The business sector today has come alive with startups and a new breed of entrepreneurs in the sustainability and environmental segments, while established corporate are largely incorporating sustainability into day-to-day operations.
